IMVU Credits Tutorial - Beginner

In previous post we learned how to use the shop in IMVU. To be able to actually buy anything you need credits. The credits are the virtual currency used in IMVU. Also abbreviated as IMVU Cr. There are multiple ways to purchase credits in IMVU. Only after you unlocked the Shop icon you will be able to handle the credits. Unlock the Credits Icon by clicking on it. When you want to purchase credits, this is where you need to go.

Purchasing Credits

In the image below is where you can purchase credits straight from the IMVU client.

IMPORTANT
You cannot send as gift or even buy through PayPal the so called Access Pass (AP). VIP, however, can be sent as gift to other persons.

Earning Credits

If you don't feel ready to pay real money for the credits you have the option of earning credits for free. This is a cool option that is usually not found in these type of games. See the image below to view where exactly you can to this.

Now you are all set-up to be able and buy any items you want from the vast IMVU shop. Don't rush it up! Everybody will see and make a first opinion of you based on your avatar. It is important to take your time in creating a genuine one.

Finally, you are even closer of becoming a true player. Learning how to deal with credits is very important as it is game's currency and is what makes the game running.

IMVU Shop Tutorial - Beginners

As soon as you start IMVU you will be required to change your clothes so you can express yourself the way you want. The main issue is where and how to do this. We will further explain how to properly use the Shop in IMVU.

On the dress up icon is where you customize your avatar. On the next icon, the Shop icon is where all the fun starts. You can buy all the things you need wish for your avatar from here.

Shop Categories

Before you even start to wonder around the shop you need to know what each option is for.

1. Previewing Items

The same way as in the Dress Up icon. Here is the live preview of your character wearing the things you have an interest in buying.

2. Shop Categories

Here you have all the possible items you can buy from the shop in categories so you can easier select and search what you wish. Everything from men's to women's wear, poses and even pets.
You can take things further more and narrow down your search to what part of the body you are looking for to dress up.

Wishlist

You can ad items from the shop in this list by clicking the heart shaped icon located near all the items from the shop. This saves you a lot of time by accessing instantly items that you want to buy.  If you have a big wishlist the search bar makes it easier to find what you are looking for. Just type a word and anything related to it will show up. In this section you have a click to buy option used for purchasing faster the items added in the cart.

Products 

After you filtered your search in the main shop menu a list of items will appear as in the picture below.

You can add the item you see to the wishlist straight away by clicking on the heart icon.
If you hold your mouse on any of the items, 2 icons will pop-up over the picture. One of the icon is for sending a gift. The other icon is for adding the item to the cart. Just like any online shop, if you want to buy more items you add them to your shopping cart.

Trying an Item

Another button below the item is the Try button. Click it to try the item on your avatar and see how it fits.
